Emerging opportunities and innovative ideas—they begin as seeds that sometimes require just a little support to start growing. Loyal supporters to the division’s unrestricted funds make this growth possible.
When you contribute to Friends of the Social Sciences, you give us the ultimate gift—flexibility to respond to the division’s most urgent needs and opportunities that may lack other means of support. Throughout the years, Friends of the Social Sciences have supported student scholarships and fellowships, faculty research, faculty recruitments, student and alumni programs, classroom and laboratory equipment, library acquisitions and public outreach events such as conferences, workshops and roundtable discussions.
Donors who give $1,500 or more are recognized as Friends of the Social Sciences and become part of an important group who help provide a solid foundation of support for the division. As a Friend of the Social Sciences donor you will also receive benefits that include an invitation to the Dean’s Insiders lunch and tickets to the Social Sciences Supper Club—one of the university’s most popular dinner lecture series—or the quarterly Economics Roundtable, which features nationally renowned experts in economics, finance, business and public policy.
